100 years ago my Great Grandparent's built a farm in rural Alberta, Canada. It is still there, falling down and neglected, but with so many stories to tell. I have visited twice in the last two years to document it.

In November 2010 I visited the farm for the first time in over 20 years. I found the barn and main house in major disrepair, but there were also artifacts and treasures laying around. It was magical.

November 2010: It was a cold day but I got some good interior and exterior shots of the two main buildings, the house and the barn.

Exploring the farm with my Dad, who farmed there when he was 16. It was a cold day. The windmill began to turn inexplicably, without any wind.

In July of 2011 I returned to the farm in the warm weather to get some more detailed pictures and to explore some of the out buildings.

July 2011: My second set of pictures from the farm are more detailed and document the out buildings and some of the old machinery and vehicles.

I collected a bunch of items that had been forgotten, gently cleaned and photographed them on a white backdrop.
